Southern California Has Plans for You This June
Pride parades, solstice festivals, a concert under the stars, and a theme park after dark. June across So Cal is not a month you sit out.
June in Southern California doesn't ease in. It arrives with a full calendar and a dare: keep up, or miss something worth talking about for the rest of the year.
This month, we're going wider than our four. From West Hollywood to Anaheim to Catalina Island, the region is doing what it does best in June — going big, going colorful, and making you feel like staying home was the worst decision you made all year.
JUNE 5–7 | WeHo Pride Weekend — West Hollywood
The city that has had LGBTQ+ political leadership since 1984 throws the kind of Pride that earns its reputation every year. WeHo Pride Weekend 2026 runs June 5 through 7 in and around West Hollywood Park, anchored by the Outloud Music Festival, a three-day music event headlined by The Pussycat Dolls, JADE, and Ava Max. The Street Fair, the parade, the block closures, the energy that spills well past sunset — this is the opening weekend of Pride season in Southern California, and it sets the tone for everything that follows.
JUNE 12 | An Evening Among the Roses — San Marino
The Huntington doesn't do anything quietly, and its annual LGBTQ+ celebration is no exception. The 11th edition takes place Friday, June 12, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. in the iconic Rose Garden at The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens — which is to say, one of the most beautiful settings in all of Southern California, at the exact moment of year when it earns that title. Music, dancing, specialty cocktails, and hors d'oeuvres among the blooms. Western-inspired or glitzy garden party attire is strongly encouraged, and you should take that seriously. The evening celebrates the LGBTQ+ community's ongoing contributions to the institution while raising funds for The Huntington. Tickets must be purchased in advance — they are not sold at the door — and they will go.
JUNE 12–13 | Catalina Island Pride — Avalon
Catalina Island invites the LGBTQ+ community and allies throughout Southern California to its annual Pride Celebration — and the setting alone makes it worth the boat ride. Avalon is already one of the most charming day trips in the region. In mid-June, it becomes something more.
JUNE 13 | LA Pride @ Street Food Cinema — Los Angeles
The evening brings a celebration of Pride and the 30th anniversary of The Birdcage under the stars at the Autry Museum, with food trucks and a bar for those 21 and over. It is, appropriately, a little bit Fosse.
JUNE 13 | Santa Ynez Valley Pride — Solvang
Wine country throws its own parade. The 5th annual Santa Ynez Valley Pride Parade and Festival is a family-friendly event featuring live music, a beer and wine garden, food trucks, and face painting. It's smaller and quieter than WeHo — and completely worth the drive up the 101.
JUNE 14 | The LA Pride Parade — Hollywood
The 56th Annual LA Pride Parade steps off at 11:00 AM from Highland Avenue at Sunset Boulevard, following its route along Hollywood Boulevard and Cahuenga. This year's theme is Rise with Pride. The Celebrity Grand Marshal is Emmy-winning actor Jeff Hiller, known for HBO's Somebody Somewhere. The Pride Village street festival on Hollywood Boulevard continues through the afternoon. This is the one you plan around.
JUNE 16 & 18 | Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite — Anaheim
Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite returns for two nights only on June 16 and June 18, 2026, celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community with an evening of entertainment, themed food, and a high-energy atmosphere throughout the park after hours. Tickets are limited and have sold out quickly in past years, so if you haven't grabbed yours yet, check now.
JUNE 19–21 | Santa Barbara Summer Solstice Celebration — Santa Barbara
This one earns its own feature — and we've given it one. But it deserves a place in the regional calendar too. The 52nd annual Solstice Parade and Festival draws 100,000 spectators to a people-powered, people-created celebration of life, creativity, and community. This year's theme is WAVE. The parade steps off Saturday at noon. The festival is free and runs all weekend at Alameda Park.
JUNE 20 | Long Beach Juneteenth at King Park — Long Beach
Long Beach marks Juneteenth with a community celebration at King Park — a reminder that June in Southern California holds more than one kind of history worth honoring.
JUNE 27 | San Fernando Valley Pride — Van Nuys
San Fernando Valley Pride takes place June 27 at the Van Nuys Civic Center, bringing the celebration into a part of the city that doesn't always make the weekend itinerary. It should. The Valley has its own community, its own voice, and its own reasons to show up.
JUNE 27–28 | Night Trip Electronic Festival — Long Beach
Held at the Queen Mary Waterfront, Night Trip features more than 30 DJs across its High Tide and Deep End stages, with ocean air, specialty cocktails, and a party that runs well past sunset. For those who want to end the month exactly the way it deserves to end.
